(More customer reviews)The Lifetime Almond 6 Foot Utility Table with Folding Legs is great. We originally wanted only one table but ended up with three of them. When a major hardware store had their grand opening sale we were able to buy one for thirty dollars. They sold out quickly but since the store was issuing rain checks for as many as you wanted (within reason), I opted for two additional tables. It took about six months before we acquired all three but it was worth the wait. I know they periodically go on sale, perhaps not at the low price we paid, but it would be worth checking out. I use one for folding clothes in the laundry room, another is used as a catch all/hold all/desk in the basement and the third one is used as a buffet table for family gatherings. The table is just the right length and width for wrapping Christmas gifts. The tables are sturdy, look nice and are easily cleaned. I also recommend the Lifetime Personal Adjustable Folding Table for those who need a smaller table. ~ Mrs. B.

(More customer reviews)I was disappointed with this breakfast tray for a few reasons.First of all, the quality of the wood is a lot cheaper than what I expected.The picture doesn't do it justice...in a negative way!The bottom structure of the tray and legs feels like they're made out of balsa wood.It's nice that the tray is light weight but although I haven't used it yet, it appears that it could be broken quite easily.Secondly, the legs are rather short and the tray sort of rests on your legs (at least for a 5'8" adult male) which makes the tray unstable and can irritate the tops of your legs. If the legs were longer, they would rest on the surface you are sitting on and there would be a space between the tops of your legs and the bottom of the tray.The bottom of the tray itself that sits on your legs can be irritating because of the cheap wood.It would help at least if the edges of the wood that sits on your legs were sanded to a rounded off edge or perhaps some type of molding could be applied to the edge.I think this tray would be better suited for a small adult or perhaps a child.On a positive note, the tilted tray top is a nice feature and the laminate surface is easy to clean.Because of the "quality" of wood and overall workmanship, I would not recommend this for adult use.But for around $20, it's okay for a child but I wouldn't plan on it lasting too long.I would not buy it again!

"Our top load washer bit the dust and I had been considering a front load washer so I purchased this model because of the features and 10 yr motor warranty. I am amazed at the huge load of towels this machine is capable of washing and is very quiet except when filling with water. The wash times are average but with the very first load we noticed that stains that normally had to previously be pre-treated came clean without doing anything with this machine. My wife loves how clean and fresh they come out and it uses so little detergent it's hard to believe they could come out so clean. Water and electricity savings are to be expected as the machine spins the laundry so much drier than any other machine we've owned in the past. I wish I had bought one sooner!! We also bought the matching dryer along with the pedestals and couldn't be happier with our purchase. Our old clothes seem to be renewed with these machines."

(More customer reviews)Our old washing machine broke a couple of months ago; and, even though we could have fixed it, we decided it was time to go with a new front loader instead. The main reason we wanted front loading machines was because of the space savings when stacked. After a week of research, we settled on either this LG model or the comparable Samsung, based on reading pretty much every review we could find - we settled on the LG because of price.

Aside from the fact that these are extremely heavy compared to our old top loaders, the installation was fairly straight forward. The water hoses are a couple of feet longer than a typical washer hose (even other front loaders), which was great for us since we ended up stacking them a few feet from the water inputs. They are also very easy to setup and use.

At first we were a bit nervous about the height of the machines when stacked, but those fears were completely unfounded. I'm 5'9" and I can access both the washer and dryer with ease. The washer tub is actually tilted upward to make it easier to access when it's sitting on the floor instead of a stand. As a quick reference, if you're worried about the height, the bottom of the dryer opening sits at 54" when stacked, the center of the dryer control knob sits at 76", and the top of the dryer is at 79".

Aside from the obvious space savings, here are the things we've really liked about this washer:
1) It runs very quietly with no noticeable vibration. I was worried about this after reading reviews for other front loaders, but it hasn't been a problem at all - even with both the washer & dryer stacked and running at the same time.
2) It gets our clothes at least as clean as our old washer ever did; but it uses a lot less water to do it. (It's supposed to be easier on the clothes too, but I have no way to verify that.)
3) The controls are intuitive and easy to use.
4) We can fit an amazing amount in each load. Our old washer was a high capacity top loader, but this thing can probably clean almost twice as many clothes in each load. It is especially nice when it comes time to clean bedding that didn't even fit in the old washer.
5) I love the load sense feature. This is one of the things you should read the manual to figure out how to use; but it is definitely worth the effort. Basically, it tells you how much detergent you need to add in order to get the clothes clean for that particular load - I use it to tell me when the load is full by just adding clothes until it says I need the full amount of deterget:). It really does eliminate a lot of guess-work.

As usual, there are some things I wish I could change:
1) You can't use powder detergent with liquid bleach in the same load. You need to have either powder or liquid for both.
2) The controls don't remember settings, which can be a bit irritating since we use the same settings 95% of the time. Luckily they are easy to set, but you do need to reprogram it every time you turn it on.
3) The washer door only opens one way (the hinge is on the left), which is great if that's the way you need it to open. In our case, it opened the wrong way so we had to rearrange the room a bit. Fortunately, the long hoses made it possible to rearrange everything without a lot of extra effort or expense.

Another thing I had read about the front loaders was that the door needs to be left open between loads. I thought this would be a pain, but it really hasn't been a big deal at all. The manual doesn't actually recommend doing that; but says to periodically run a tub clean cycle (I think it says to do it every month) to eliminate any odor. I figure I'll leave the door open as well just to be safe.

Overall we are extremely pleased with these. I guess time will tell if they hold up as well as our old top loader did, but so far I'm pretty confident that they will. I highly recommend these if you're looking for a new washer and dryer.

Vaultz VZ01049 4-Drawer Locking CD Storage Cabinet Holds up to 660 CDs (Black with Chrome Accents) Review

(More customer reviews)I am really disappointed in the poor quality of Vaultz! I bought 2 of the 4 drawer units, and they looked so nice in the photos. But they are cheaply made with a black "sticker" covering the outside, and the drawers. Sort of like a big label. I really fought with them to get the drawers open because the underside of the drawers got horribly stuck to the material under it. So far 3 of 8 drawers are stuck or very difficult to open. The underside of the drawer has a sticker which will for sure get rubbed every time the drawer is opened & closed. Think about it. The bottom of the drawer is going to wear, especially under the weight of a bunch of CD's in the drawer.

This black sticker is the same sticker that covers the front & sides of that drawer, but only 1/2" of the bottom edge. So when it gets rubbed a bit, the sticker rolls - the sticky glue gets exposed & sticks tight to the cabinet. Just really lame. As part of getting the drawrs unstuck it's probably that the black covering will get peeled up at the bottom edge, ruining the front too. Or you might tear the drawer apart trying to get the *&%#$ thing open.

Very poor design, and very poor construction. For the price I was expecting wood, metal, or even plastic construction, but it appears to be thin fiberboard covered with a black sticker. I could have accepted the fiberboard if the drawers were still working ok after the 3rd day. They do hold alot of CDs, especially in clear plastic sleeves.

I recommend clear plastic sleeves over the white paper with circular window, and that white paper always hides the rim of the cd so you can't read some. The "3CDRice Diskeeper anti-static" clear plastic cd sleeves are great, and there is no need to label the envelopes, since you can see the cd inside.

It's amazing that there isn't more choices for mass cd storage like this. PowerFiles looked cool, but I hear they break quickly, and can't really take the weight of the number of cd's they can hold. My next solution is a bunch of wire CD storage baskets. Well made, but I need to add shelves to keep each row off of the baskets below it. And I needed to remove the magnets on one side that hold them together, or the baskets won't slide out like drawers.

Anyway, don't be fooled by the high price of Vaultz, they are cheaply made and lame. You're better off with a plastic or wire basket solution.

12" Talking Tree Decoration Review

(More customer reviews)The motion sensor does not detect motion walking by, but does sense if the product moves. I think the engineering specifications they sent to China should have been more specific. Unless you expect 600 lb. trick or treaters to skip by and send shock waves up the tree trunk to shake the device you are going to be disappointed.
I saw the Talking Tree at a local Halloween store. The floor model went off as I walked by the first time (I shook the store floor), but I couldn't get it to work by walking by after that. It only went off if I shook the product or rocked it in my hands. I asked the store clerk if she knew how it worked and she said just take a different one home and try it. We did and set it up at various locations around the house and outside. We would sometimes wait for 5 to 30 minutes before walking by to see if there was a time delay, but it would still not start talking. Only moving the device made it repeat the single set of lines. We took the product back. I liked the realism of the moving latex mouth and hope it comes back next year with a sensor for 'external' motion and more than one set of sayings.

(More customer reviews)The 3-D Electric Fireplace has been around a couple of years now, but the cost was still fairly high. Now, it has come down to just at $100. The 3-D flame has improved vastly over the earlier drum-light type to the point that it's hard to tell if it is real or not. I bought mine through Amazon.com, and was pleasantly surprised too, at the low shipping costs!
If there is a drawback, it would be that I will have to add my own stovepipe if I want authenticity, but that isn't a real big problem.
I am very, very happy with my purchase!
